Many educators and group facilitators recognize climbing for its value as a tool for experiential learning.
The experience enhances self-esteem and develops decision-making, leadership, organization, and communication skills, and also increases strength, stamina and coordination. It is a great cardio-vascular workout and loads of fun.
Since 1990 Joe Rockhead’s Indoor Climbing Gym has been providing a controlled environment and healthy social atmosphere for beginners to learn the sport of rock climbing.
Rockhead’s specializes in providing group instruction to groups and organizations such as Scouts Canada, the YMCA, public and private schools, summer camps and youth groups. Our climbing school programs emphasize both fun and safety.

How long does a session last?
The Junior session runs approximately 2 hours. The Senior session runs approximately 3 hours. Please call for details.
What do we wear? What shoes do we need? What do we bring?
Wear unrestrictive clothing. Athletic, exercise or yoga wear is recommended. Bring clean, dry running shoes.
You may also wish you bring combination locks for our change room lockers, and water bottles.
Does Rockhead's supply food?
No, we do not provide food. It's best to bring your own. Packed lunches, non-messy snacks and water are recommended. Some restrictions apply. Please call for details.
Can sessions be arranged outside of regular Rockhead's business hours?
Yes, we are flexible. Schools and Camp groups can be accommodated between 9am and 4pm. Please call for details.
Where may we park? Is parking free?
There is a Green P lot on Fraser Ave north of Liberty St. Metered street parking is also available on Fraser.
There is no free parking. Please do not park in the lot directly across the street; It is reserved.
